The installation requirements for the low-voltage PDC are as follows:
1. Installation site preparation
1. Space requirements:
- Ensure that the installation location has sufficient space for the PDC and its auxiliary equipment. The width of the front operation channel of the PDC should not be less than 1.5 meters, the width of the rear maintenance channel should not be less than 0.8 meters, and the width of the side channel should not be less than 0.8 meters. If there are multiple distribution cabinets installed side by side, you also need to consider the middle distance for heat dissipation and operation.
- The installation height is generally 1.4 meters to 1.6 meters from the bottom of the ground, so that operators can operate and maintain.
2. Environmental conditions:
- Choose a dry and well-ventilated place to avoid installation near damp, dusty, corrosive gases or inflammable and explosive materials. The ambient temperature should be between -5℃ and +40℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 90% (no condensation).
- The installation site should be as far as possible to avoid direct sunlight and rain, if necessary, can be installed awning or rain cover.
3. Basic production:
- Make proper base bases according to the weight and size of the PDC. The foundation base is generally welded with channel steel or Angle steel, and then fixed to the ground with expansion bolts. The levelness error of the base should not exceed ±1mm/m.
2. Distribution cabinet installation steps
1. Unpacking check:
- Unpack the PDC before installation. Check whether the PDC model and specifications meet the design requirements, whether the appearance of the device is damaged or deformed, whether the internal electrical components are complete and intact, and whether the delivered accessories and technical documents are complete.
2. Moving into position:
- Select the appropriate handling tools and methods according to the weight and volume of the PDC. Generally, small power distribution cabinets can be manually handled, and large power distribution cabinets need to use lifting equipment. Handle the equipment with care to avoid collision and damage.
- Place the PDC on the base smoothly and adjust the position so that the verticality error of the PDC does not exceed 1.5mm/m.
3. Fixed installation:
- Use bolts to securely connect the PDC to the base. The specifications and quantity of bolts should be selected according to the weight and size of the distribution cabinet. Generally, the diameter of bolts is not less than 10mm, and the number of bolts is not less than 4.
- If multiple power distribution cabinets are installed side by side, connect the adjacent power distribution cabinets together using connection bolts to ensure overall stability.
4. Ground connection:
- The low-voltage PDC must be grounded reliably. Connect the ground bus of the PDC to the ground pole with a ground resistance of less than 4 ohms. The cross-sectional area of the ground bus should be selected according to the capacity of the distribution cabinet and short circuit current, generally not less than 25mm² copper wire or 40mm×4mm galvanized flat steel.
Three, electrical connection
1. Bus installation:
- Install the bus system according to the design requirements of the PDC. The specifications and materials of the bus should meet the design requirements, generally using copper bus or aluminum bus. The connection of the bus bar should be firm and reliable, and the contact resistance should not be greater than 0.1Ω.
- In the case of multi-section bus connection, the bus connection clip or bolt should be used for connection, and the conductive paste should be applied to the connection to reduce the contact resistance.
2. Cable laying:
- Lay the cable into the distribution cabinet according to the design drawings. The specifications and models of the cables should meet the design requirements, and the cables should be neatly laid and beautiful to avoid crossing and winding.
- The terminal head of the cable should be made according to the specification, and special tools and materials should be used to make the terminal head of the cable to ensure that the insulation performance and conductive performance of the cable terminal is good.
3. Electrical component connection:
- Connect various electrical components in the distribution cabinet according to the electrical schematic diagram. When connecting, attention should be paid to the correctness and firmness of the wiring to avoid virtual connection and short circuit.
- For large-capacity electrical components, such as circuit breakers, contactors, etc., bolt connection or copper bar connection should be used to ensure the reliability and current carrying capacity of the connection.
Iv. Commissioning and acceptance
1. Check before commissioning:
- Before commissioning, check whether the installation and electrical connections of the PDC meet the requirements. Check that all bolts are fastened, the wiring is correct, and the grounding is good.
- Check whether the various electrical components in the distribution cabinet are in the normal position, such as whether the circuit breaker is disconnected, whether the contactor is released, etc.
2. No-load debugging:
- Send the control power supply to the power distribution cabinet for no-load debugging. Close the circuit breakers of each circuit one by one, and observe whether the instruments and indicators in the distribution cabinet are working normally, and whether the voltage and current of each circuit are normal.
- Debug the control loop, check whether various control buttons, switches, relays, etc. work normally, and whether the control logic is correct.
3. Load debugging:
- After no-load commissioning is normal, load commissioning is performed on the access load. Gradually increase the load, observe the operation of the distribution cabinet, whether the voltage and current of each loop are stable, and whether the electrical components heat normally.
- Test the protection function of the PDC, such as over current protection, short circuit protection, leakage protection, etc., to ensure the normal and reliable protection function.
4. Acceptance and delivery:
- After completion of debugging, acceptance work shall be carried out. The acceptance includes installation quality, electrical performance, and operation functions. After passing the acceptance, fill in the acceptance report, and organize and file the relevant technical data and documents.
- Finally, the low-voltage power distribution cabinet is delivered to use, and the user is trained to understand the operation methods and precautions of the power distribution cabinet.
