What safety precautions should I pay attention to when installing a PDC?

When installing a PDC, pay attention to the following safety precautions:

1. Preparation before construction

The construction personnel must have professional training, be familiar with the PDC installation process and safe operation procedures, and have appropriate electrical knowledge and skills.

Wear personal protective equipment, such as safety helmet, insulation shoes, insulation gloves, etc.

Check whether the construction tools and equipment are in good condition, such as whether the power tools are well grounded, and whether the measuring instruments are calibrated.

Conduct safety assessment on the construction site to eliminate potential hazardous factors, such as inflammables, obstacles, etc.

Two, distribution cabinet handling and installation

When moving the PDC, use appropriate handling tools, such as forklifts and trolleys, and ensure that the handling process is smooth and avoid collision and tilt.

When installing a PDC, strictly follow the design requirements and installation instructions to ensure that the cabinet is securely installed and that its levelness and verticality meet standards.

When installing a power distribution cabinet at a height, you must build strong scaffolding or use equipment such as lifts, and wear safety belts.

Do not install in adverse weather conditions, such as thunderstorms and strong winds.

Three, electrical connection

Before electrical connection, it must be confirmed that the power has been cut off, and hang warning signs such as "Do not close".

Select wires, cables and connecting devices that meet the requirements to ensure reliable electrical connections and good contact.

When connecting cables, follow the correct phase sequence to avoid device damage or accidents caused by incorrect connections.

The electrical connection parts should be insulated to prevent leakage and short circuit.

Fourth, grounding and lightning protection

The PDC must be grounded reliably, and the grounding resistance must meet related standards.

The grounding device must meet design requirements and ensure that the grounding conductor is securely connected and properly communicated.

For places with lightning protection requirements, the PDC should be installed with lightning protection devices and ensure their effectiveness.

5. Commissioning and trial operation

Before commissioning and commissioning, check whether the PDC installation and electrical connections are correct to ensure that there are no potential safety risks.

In the process of commissioning and trial operation, the operation should be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures and supervised by professional personnel.

If any abnormal situation is found, the debugging and trial operation should be stopped immediately, and the fault should be rectified before proceeding.

6. Other precautions

Obvious safety warning signs shall be set up on the construction site, and no irrelevant personnel shall be allowed to enter.

Keep the construction site clean, clean up debris and garbage in time to prevent fire and other accidents.

Check and maintain the installed PDC periodically to ensure that its safety performance is in good condition.
