What should we pay attention to when installing and debugging power distribution cabinets in Southeast Asia and Vietnam?
When installing and debugging power distribution cabinets in Southeast Asia, Vietnam and other regions, there are the following precautions:
First, preparation before installation
Environmental investigation
Understand the environmental conditions of the installation site. The climate in Vietnam is hot and humid, and some areas are characterized by abundant precipitation in rainy season. Therefore, the installation position of the power distribution room or cabinet should be waterproof and moisture-proof, so as to avoid rain leakage and moisture condensation from damaging the power distribution cabinet, such as corrosion of internal electrical components.
The temperature factor should also be considered to ensure that the temperature of the installation environment is within the allowable working temperature range of the distribution cabinet. If the temperature is too high, it may be necessary to install additional ventilation or cooling equipment.
data preparation
Collect relevant technical data of power distribution cabinet, including electrical schematic diagram, installation instructions, wiring diagram, etc. These materials are usually in English or Vietnamese (some may be in Chinese), so it is necessary to ensure that the installation and debugging personnel can accurately understand the contents. At the same time, we also need to know the local electrical codes and standards. Vietnam adopts IEC standards to some extent, but it may have its own special requirements.
Preparation of tools and equipment
Prepare suitable installation tools, such as screwdriver, wrench, electric drill, megger, multimeter, etc. And to ensure the quality and accuracy of tools, check and calibrate before use. For some large power distribution cabinets, lifting equipment may be needed, and the rental or transportation of these equipment should be arranged in advance.
Second, the installation process matters needing attention
Foundation installation
The foundation of the power distribution cabinet must be firm and smooth. In Vietnam, due to the soft geological conditions in some areas, the foundation should be reinforced according to the actual situation, such as pouring thicker concrete foundation. The levelness error of the foundation should be controlled within the allowable range, generally less than 1mm per meter, to ensure the stability of the distribution cabinet after installation.
Cabinet installation
Be careful when handling the power distribution cabinet, avoid collision and violent vibration, and prevent the cabinet from being deformed and internal components from being damaged. When installing cabinets, they should be arranged according to the design requirements, and the gap between adjacent cabinets should be uniform, generally the gap should not exceed 2mm. And the cabinets should be reliably connected to ensure electrical continuity.
At the same time, attention should be paid to the grounding of the cabinet. Vietnam's electrical system also requires good grounding, and the grounding resistance should meet local standards, usually not exceeding 4Ω. Copper grounding bus can be used to reliably connect the cabinet with the grounding device.
Wiring installation
Wiring work must be carried out by professional electricians. Before wiring, carefully check the specification, model and number of the cable to ensure that it is consistent with the wiring diagram. The wiring should be firm and reliable, and the crimping of the terminal should meet the requirements of the specification to avoid virtual connection. In Vietnam, due to the humid environment, special attention should be paid to the insulation treatment of wire joints, and high-quality insulating tape or heat shrinkable tube can be used for wrapping.
For lines with different voltage levels, there should be obvious identification and isolation measures to prevent misoperation and short circuit accidents. At the same time, we should consider the neatness and beauty of wiring, avoid the disorder of wiring, and facilitate future maintenance and overhaul.
Iii. Matters needing attention in debugging stage
Insulation test
Before commissioning, the insulation resistance of the distribution cabinet should be tested. Use megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between phases and ground, and the test voltage should meet the rated voltage level of the distribution cabinet. In the humid environment in Vietnam, the requirements for insulation resistance may be more stringent, generally not less than 0.5MΩ (for systems with rated voltage below 1kV). If the insulation resistance value is too low, check whether the insulation is damaged or damp, and deal with it accordingly.
Operating mechanism debugging
Debug the operating mechanisms such as circuit breakers and disconnectors in the distribution cabinet to check whether their opening and closing actions are flexible and reliable. The stroke and synchronization of the operating mechanism should meet the technical requirements of the product. In the debugging process, the actual operation should be simulated, and the opening and closing operations should be carried out for many times to observe whether there is any phenomenon such as jamming and abnormal noise.
Debugging of protection device
Debug various protection devices of the distribution cabinet, such as overload protection, short circuit protection, leakage protection, etc. The protection parameters should be set according to the design requirements, and the action accuracy of the protection device should be verified by experiments. In the power grid environment of Vietnam, the reliability of protection devices is particularly important because the power grid quality may fluctuate. Professional relay protection tester can be used for testing to ensure that the protection device can act timely and accurately in case of failure.
IV. Safety and communication
safety measure
Installation and commissioning personnel should strictly abide by the safety operation rules and wear personal protective equipment, such as safety helmet, insulating shoes and gloves. Set up obvious safety warning signs on the construction site to prevent irrelevant personnel from entering. Local staff in Vietnam may have different understanding and implementation of safety regulations, so safety training and supervision should be strengthened.
Language and cultural communication
Because I work in Vietnam, I may encounter language barriers, so I need to be equipped with translators or local people who are familiar with electrical installation and debugging to assist in communication. At the same time, we should respect local cultural customs and avoid misunderstandings or conflicts due to cultural differences.
