What is the acceptance standard for the installation of power distribution projects in Thailand?

The acceptance criteria for the installation of power distribution projects in Thailand are mainly based on TISI and related international standards. The following are some major acceptance requirements:

Electrical equipment installation

Foundation steel: The allowable deviation of verticality and levelness, position deviation and non-parallelism of foundation steel shall comply with the regulations. The top plane of foundation steel should be flat, and its grounding should be at least two places, and the connection is firm and the conduction is good.

Power distribution cabinet (box): The grounding of the cabinet body should be firm and reliable, and the cabinet door with electrical appliances should be reliably connected with the metal cabinet body with bare copper flexible wire with cross-sectional area ≥ 4 mm. The allowable deviation of verticality of cabinet installation should not be greater than 1.5‰, the joint between them should not be greater than 2mm, and the deviation of column disk surface should not be greater than 5 mm.

Switchgear: The installation position of switchgear should meet the design requirements, the operating mechanism should be flexible and reliable, and the opening and closing actions should be accurate. The contact resistance of the switch should be within the specified range to ensure good conductivity.

Line laying

Cable route: The model and specification of the cable shall meet the design requirements, and the cable shall be laid in an orderly manner to avoid crossing and squeezing. The bending radius of the cable shall conform to the regulations, and the production of the terminal head and intermediate joint of the cable shall be standardized with good insulation performance.

Overhead lines: The poles of overhead lines should be firmly buried, and the verticality deviation is within the allowable range. The erection of wires shall comply with the design requirements, with uniform sag, and the distance between phases and the ground shall meet the safety requirements.

Grounding system

Grounding resistance: The grounding resistance of the grounding system should meet the design requirements and generally should not be greater than the specified value. For different types of power distribution projects, the requirements of grounding resistance may be different.

Grounding wire: The material and specification of grounding wire shall meet the requirements, and the connection shall be firm and reliable, and there shall be no looseness or fracture. It is forbidden to set switches or fuses on the grounding wire, and it should be convenient for inspection and maintenance.

Safety protection

Protective devices: the doors and windows of the power distribution room should be opened outwards, and safety protective devices such as protective fences should be installed. The shell of power distribution equipment should be well grounded to prevent electric shock accidents.

Safety signs: obvious safety signs should be set inside and outside the distribution room, such as "high voltage danger" and "no closing". The phase sequence identification and operation identification on the equipment should be clear and accurate, which is convenient for the operator to identify and operate.

In addition, for some special power distribution projects, such as high-voltage power equipment, it is necessary to meet the standards of the Ministry of Energy of Thailand and be audited by the local power supply company. In the process of acceptance, inspection and testing should be carried out in strict accordance with relevant standards and specifications to ensure that the installation quality and safety performance of power distribution projects meet the requirements. At the same time, the acceptance personnel should have corresponding professional knowledge and skills to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the acceptance work.
